Drafting l Design l Planning l Permits
This kitchen expansion took place first by removing the wall that divides the kitchen and existing reading space. By removing this wall we created a much larger and open space feel for the clients.
When site observation took place we realized that there was a new roof that the previous owners had built a roof right over the old roof leaving the underneath structural load right on the wall that was being removed, let us know that structural engineering would have to be incorporated into our architectural plans. The preliminary design included a homework or office desk in the kitchen to keep mail and or recipe books all tighty away in its drawers or top cabinets for a much organized and functional kitchen.
After submitting plans and obtaining approved plans with building permits from the City the client was ready to begin demolition and construction.
